KNOW?
In their natural state, all grains are whole grains. The seed (also called as a 'kernel') is made up of three edible parts -the bran, the germ and the endosperm.
It causes an acid-alkaline imbalance, it raises blood sugar levels, it causes inflammation, it slows down your metabolism, it destroys gut health, it can trigger food allergies or an intolerance.
REFINED WHEAT
Refined grains have been milled, the process that removes the bran and the germ. This is done to give grains a finest texture and improve their shelves life, but it also removes dietary fibre, iron and B-vitamins. Some examples of refined grain products are white flour, de-germed cornmeal, white bread, white rice.
THE BRAN
The bran is the multilayered outer skin of the edible kernel. It contains important antioxidants, B-vitamins and fibre.
THE GERM
The germ is the embryo which has the potential to sprout into a new plant. It contains many B-vitamins, some protein, minerals and healthy fat.
THE ENDOSPERM
The endosperm is the germ's food supply, which provides essential energy to the young plant. The endosperm is by far the largest portion of the kernel. It contains starchy, carbohydrates, proteins and in small amount of vitamins and the minerals.
The wheat atta that we get is generally mixed with refined flour, which does not good to diabetics.
As a result, the fibre, vitamins and the minerals become concentrated and become highly toxic for the pancreas of a diabetic struggling to manage blood sugar levels. PLEASE FOLLOW AND SUPPORT
